Youth Convention
Youth Convention
We periodically arrange youth retreats and youth conventions for the benefit of youth. Youth from local colleges are invited to attend these camps, which are conducted by monks of the Ramakrishna Order and key personalities from the education field. Topics such as personality development, positive thinking etc. are discussed in these camps. Each camp is differently set up so that the participants have a different focus in each particular camp.
For example, a camp may focus on leadership skills and how to tackle problems. Youth are put through group-discussions which force participation.
Swami Vivekananda Study Circle
This is an activity organised by Ramakrishna Math especially for youth between 16 to 30 years of age.
Every Monday and Friday at 7:15 to 8:15 the members of study circle meet.
The session begins with prayers of Bhagwan Sri Ramakrishna , Sri Maa Sarada and Swamiji then followed by guided meditation. Reading and understanding of important thoughts from Bhagavad Gita and Swami Vivekananda's literature. The session ends by chanting 'Swadesh Mantra' written by Swami Vivekananda and 'Yuvak Asava Asa' written by Revered Swami Srikantanand, Adhyaksha of Ramakrishna Math Pune.
Foundation course and advance course
With objective is to motivate youth to become good citizens of the country.
6 monthly foundation course and advance course on Swami Vivekananda literature are also organised.
The participants are given opportunity to take part in seminars and conferences organised by different centres of Ramakrishna Math & Mission, Belur.
